Calibration Service Levels & Sample Certificates

TTE Laboratories offers multiple levels of calibration for single channel pipettes and multichannel pipettes as well as a separate validation service for motorized pipette controllers.

Single Channel Pipettes

TTE Labs ISO 8655 Pipette Calibration ISO-Level Calibration – Our most stringent, ISO 17025 compliant calibration service includes our most comprehensive TTE Laboratories calibration certificate with ISO-accreditation symbol, 10 ‘As Found’ data points, 10 ‘As Left’ data points, and a TTE pipette calibration service label. View sample certificate.

Level 4 Calibration – Includes a detailed TTE Laboratories calibration certificate, 4 ‘As Found’ data points, 10 ‘As Left’ data points, and a pipette calibration service label. View sample certificate.

Level 3 Calibration – Includes a detailed TTE Laboratories calibration certificate, 4 ‘As Found’ data points, 4 ‘As Left’ data points, and a pipette calibration label. View sample certificate.

Level 2 Calibration – Includes a detailed TTE Laboratories calibration certificate, no ‘As Found’ data points, 4 ‘As Left’ data points, and a pipette calibration label. View sample certificate.

Level 1 Calibration – Includes a basic TTE Laboratories batch calibration certificate with a blanket statement of compliance and a pipette calibration label. This service level does not provide specific data points on the pipette’s measurement performance. View sample certificate.

Multichannel Pipettes

For multichannel pipettes, we offer the same 5 levels of calibration as above, but with 3 options as to how many channels are tested.

MC Standard - is an economical multichannel calibration that provides measurement data from one randomly selected pipette channel. We record these data only after the pipette has passed our inter-channel ‘leak test’ procedure, which offers assurance that each channel is performing correctly, without inter-channel variation. Clients receive a detailed calibration certificate, with performance data from a single channel, according to the Service Level selected. View sample certificate.

MC Plus - reports the very same measurement data in MC Standard, plus an additional series of data representing 1 measurement from every channel at up to 3 test volumes. Clients receive a two page TTE calibration certificate including both calibration testing services. This calibration service option provides the client with measurement data from every channel of the pipette, but not all channels at the Service Level selected. This is a hybrid service we created to provide performance data from every channel, while keeping calibration costs as low as possible.  View sample certificate.

MC Premium - is our most comprehensive calibration service for multichannel pipettes, where a full calibration is performed and reported from every pipette channel. Clients receive a detailed calibration certificate from each channel of the pipette. For example, an eight channel pipette will be accompanied by an eight-page calibration certificate; a 12 channel pipette will be accompanied by a 12-page calibration certificate. In effect, the MC Premium option treats every channel like an individual pipette, reporting data from each channel at the Service Level selected above (level 2 or higher). View sample certificate.

The most important difference between these three multichannel options is the number of measurements recorded from each channel at each volume. Only measurement data can verify the performance of each pipette channel, so be sure to select the service option that best satisfies your requirements.

Pipette Controller Performance Validation Service

In addition, TTE Laboratories offers a performance validation service for motorized pipette controllers (i.e. Pipet aid®-type fillers and serological pipet controllers)

PCV Service - includes a performance assessment, parts evaluation, a thorough cleaning, filter replacement, a batch certificate of performance and a service validation label. Since these devices serve only to aspirate and dispense, but not measure, no measurement data is reported.
